Homemade Red Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tiny can tomato paste
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced/chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Italian seasoning
  • oregano
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • roasted red pepper flakes
  1. Cook onions and garlic until starting to brown
  2. Add Canned tomatoes and tomato paste and cup of water
  3. Add seasonings and olive oil
  4. simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally

Tips:

  • Roasted red pepper is optional
  • Water can be reduced if you prefer a thicker sauce
